One of the many dishes my dad is known for is his guacamole. Growing up, he’d make this to serve for friends who would come over, and always always always would the serving bowl be wiped clean. He would tell people there is a “secret ingredient,” but he’d never share what it was. He finally shared it with me, and while it might not sound monumental, it really does give it a tang that makes it stand out from the others.

This guacamole features all green ingredients – you can modify it to be as chunky or as creamy as you’d like! You’ll just need a food processor and a fork to mash the avocados, and you’ll be good to go 🙂

Ingredients

  • Avocados
  • Green onion
  • Cilantro
  • Lime
  • Jalapeño
  • White vinegar (not so secret ingredient)
  • Salt and Pepper

How to Make It

Mash the avocados with a fork in the serving bowl you’ll be using for the guacamole. Make it as chunky or as creamy as you’d like! Season with a touch of flaky sea salt.

Add the green onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, white vinegar, and a dash of salt to a food processor. Pulse until everything is very finely chopped. It can also be pulsed to a liquid consistency as well – whatever you prefer!

Add this mixture to the guac, and loosely mix it all together with a spoon. Season with extra flaky sea salt and pepper. Serve with chips, on tacos, burritos, etc. ENJOY!
